College sophomore. Still searching for an allaround best romance anime/manga. Yes I enjoy harem as a genre and I consider it as a valid romance so long as the story is actually good. I dont really have much time to watch/read these days but I try to keep up whenever something I find interesting comes up. My review scores are honestly pretty arbitrary but I try especially since Im unused to a 100 point scale. Still I do admit 65 of me loves the ridiculousness and hilarity of most haremromance manga/anime with saturated tropes with the mere remaining 35 actually caring about the coherence of the story and romance. Also looking forward to the day I finally have the time to reread Nisekoi and Gotoubun no Hanayome so I can unbiasedly make a review on them: the former for solidifying my interest for the haremromance genre in 2014 and the latter for reinvigorating my interest in the haremromance genre in 2018. I found myself immediately glad at the ending of Nisekoi in 2016 but upon later thinking I also thought the journey to that conclusion might have been too long that its Nisekois most glaring flaw. On the other hand I could only feel meh at the ending of 5toubun in 2020 and now I keep debating if the story as a whole was actually coherent. Until then I feel like Nettaigyo wa Yuki ni Kogareru is the best romance manga I have ever had the pleasure to readId go so far as to say it is a masterpiece. I have also recently decided for myself to make a distinction between a regular romance and a harem romance as genres hence why Id say Ichigo 100 would be my best haremromance manga. And while Ive yet to read the manga Love Lab as a standalone anime is an absolute favorite in terms of kinda romancecomedy alone. Lastly while I have also yet to read the manga nothing can top how much Sket Dance even as a standalone anime meant and continues to mean to me. Will have to rewatch these to make proper reviews though DFrag as a standalone anime is such a funny anime too and even Kaguyasama: Love is War is a recently dear romcom anime to me.
