Hiya and welcome to my page make yourself at home. Ive considered myself an anime fan since 2013 and as I began to watch more and more anime I wanted a way to keep track of it and so under the name Pockeyramune919 I created an account on Myanimelist. Fastforward five years and I find myself migrating to Anilist because MAL was a hunk of junk that was inaccessible for a good half a year I liked the more visible community the plethora of scoring options and the more modern UI. I also noticed that Anilist was more conducive towards longterm reviews which I quickly took a stab at.
Ive since made the absolutely insane commitment of reviewing every manga I read and anime I watch. With 88 reviews and counting I think Im doing pretty well for myself wouldnt you say? Im happy to say my reviews have come a long way. While they can be a bit stressful to juggle on top of my other responsibilities at the end of the day I enjoy writing them. While I write in part them for myself I write them for others too so I hope you enjoy them as well.
When it comes to what I watch and read while I can be picky at times I generally dont constrain myself to a few genres.
If you couldnt tell by the reviews I enjoy writing in my free time particularly fiction and I dream of one day being a renowned novelist. When Im not writing or watching anime I read novels not just manga jog play video games burn money by buying and building Gunpla and listen to music.

These are guidelines as opposed to hard and fast rules. Scores given might not fit exactly in these boxes and thats okay. Whats life without a little flexibility?

Amazing
The creme de la creme of works I review. If I gave an animanga an A I absolutely loved it from start to finish. While nothings perfect these animanga have so few or so minor flaws that theyre practically perfect even if theyre not objectively perfect theyre perfect for me. I tend to be stingy with handing these out after all even if I like most things I watch/read Im not enamored with most of them. This is the land of the favorites and the masterpieces animanga here are either the best a genre/series has to offer or they deeply resonate with me for one reason or another. If you met me in real life these are animanga Id happily yammer on and on about while you desperately search for a way to remove yourself from the conversation.

Great
To B or not to B. The answer is definitely to B. For something to get a B means that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Animanga in the B range have flaws of course perhaps even noticeable ones but they arent severe enough to negatively color the animanga. Works here are often very technically sound. Ill wholeheartedly recommend something thats earned a B and theyre often some of the best a particular genre has to offer.

Good
The C range is probably the most diverse in terms of my views. The reasoning for an animanga netting a C varies wildly. Maybe its enjoyable but ultimately unremarkable. Maybe the animanga does have aspects that make it exceptional but it has glaring issues that balance it out. You can think of C as a baseline grade as its in the middle of my scale. Theres a greater emphasis on Cranges internal scale ie theres less difference between a high B and low B compared to the difference between a high C and low C and I illustrate this by using a gradient within the grade a C being yellow a C+ being yellowishgreen and a C being yellowishorange. In general a C means I liked something but not enthusiastically so. I can recommend a C but not without acknowledging its faults.

Average
The D range is where I stop liking things overall. There can certainly be aspects of a work here that I like or even love but as a whole the entire product isnt something that I enjoy. Under my scoring system a work in the D range is still passing but just barely. While I might not personally enjoy the work I can generally still recommend it to someone even if there are major caveats to doing so.

The Bad and The Ugly
The worst letter in my grading scale. Animanga here have failed to entertain me in any meaningful way. Because of this I consider them to have failed. If I grade something an F it almost always means that I regret having had watched/read it. There could still be some good aspects but theyre either so incredibly minor or so drowned out by the bad that they might as well not be there. While more scores are encompassed here than any other grade range its paradoxically probably the grade with the least variation in terms of my thoughts. At the end of the day while I can respect an F+ much more than an F a failures a failure and I cant recommend either.
You might notice that I have much more animanga I consider passed than failed. This is parts because Im somewhat selective of what I watch and parts because I tend to be pretty easy to please. Im not wild on animanga in the Crange but I can find something redeemable about them overall.

I prefer watching dubs over subs
My username is the same one I used at Myanimelist. In middle school during one of anime club meetingswe ate Pocky and Ramune. For my user name I combined the two while misspelling Pocky to my birthday September 19. If you want to shorten my name when referring to me Pockeys fine.
My favorite food is Pizza and I eat it every Friday as per a family tradition I came up with during elementary school.
Some of my favorite bands/artists include Dire Straits Tears for Fears Nujabes Kendrick Lamar Hall Oates and Foster the People.
My favorite video games are Final Fantasy VII and Mother 3.
