Also Im watching like 1525 TV / ONA anime series a year plus a bunch of nonrelated OVAs and movies. So that really adds up after 25 years. Im only adding my favorite old OVAs and movies tho and Im only adding manga I can remember well have read a bunch of short boys love / girls love / romance / other onevolume manga. Im rarely watching live action series and Im only playing 13 video games a year although I love a couple of live actions cartoons and games. My main sources of entertainment is animation books and music. I usually only finish entries that I liked/loved and/or entries that were memorable for various reasons but I take a look into lot of new seasonals only to drop 90 of them very soon. I drop most anime and manga that Id rate below 7 and not adding every awful series to my list. Also Im not adding most Pokemon or Conan movies neither do I add music videos since they are bloating my list even more sadly. Please do not recommend something to me I always got a lot of anime to watch and manga and novels also western ones to read. Never watched much of / not fond of popular series like ... One Piece Naruto Bleach Fairy Tail Hero Academia Demon Slayer Black Clover Fire Force ... lot of lengthy and popular battle shounen with a few exceptions. Never liked ecchis harems most moe isekai romcom series etc. To be honest I think 80 of anime manga and light novels are quite bad to ... abysmal yet there are great ones out there as well. In theory I love horror and dark fantasy but often its just laughable edgy. So I rather like dark and creepy atmospheres and worlds. I cant stand too edgy characters and plots and cant take them serious already had my issues with Eren of some kind. Also I love romances but Im quite picky as well. There are great female and queer characters in anime too but I cant stand it when they are just harem inventory or older teenage / adult characters who act like a child for most parts. 260https://i.ur.com/PjHqL37.jpeg What I DisLike In Characters In general I like various types of characters except bland slates edgelords co. Also Im not fond of strong independent women who are just acting like a bratty and rude teenager like a macho man or look down on other women. This is mostly an issue in some western life action and animated shows. For and foremost I like kind characters who feel real and manage to be kind and have depth without coming across as saints or goodietwo shoes. Im so tired of shows where everyone is awful to another but Im also tired of superficial portrayal of empathy and kindness. In general I like complex and fun characters with different sides to them and I like goodnatured people who fucked up morally and get some interesting inner struggles to deal with. Roy Mustang might be the prime example for this. Also I like often powerful or influental characters who have to deal with the responsibility coming with their power and position they are in. Im really fond of intelligent women and nonbinary characters with strong passions and in general I like competent characters. Also its great to see characters who I can interpret as neurodivergent without them being the antisocial and robotic stereotype portrayed as pitiful or anything. For most parts I prefer older characters but there are also more than enough kid or teenage characters I like.
