Hiroshi Ogawa

After graduating from Tokyo Designer Gakuin College he joined Tsuchida Production in 1976. In 1983 he left the struggling studio to create his own animation studio Studio 501. Between 1987 and 1988 he was working for Disney Japan before he became freelance in 1989. He went on to work mostly for ShinEi Animation during this time directing and storyboarding many Shinchan episodes for the studio. From 2006 he started working as a professor at the Kyoto Seika University Comics and Animation faculty and quit working on Shinchan in July 2007. Ogawa passed away due to stomach cancer on August 7 2013.
