Five years later he started a collaboration with studio Madhousehttps://anilist.co/studio/11/. Here he was involved in the production of the TV series Paranoia Agenthttps://anilist.co/anime/323/ which put him in touch with director Satoshi Konhttps://anilist.co/staff/99580/. After his outstanding performance in the series Dennou Coilhttps://anilist.co/anime/2164/ as a chief animation director Kon invited him aboard the production of The Dream Machinehttps://anilist.co/anime/6585/ as character designer and chief animation director but the project was sadly suspended when Kon passed away in 2010. Itazu eventually got to make his debut as a character designer on Miss Hokusaihttps://anilist.co/anime/20709/.
