Naruto Introduction Now for reference this is my second review I will try to be making this better than my previous one. I watched Naruto over a year ago and controversy has yet to cease. Naruto is easily the most controversial of the big 3 excluding OnePieces absurd amount of episodes. being that it has a lot of filler cringe scenes and voice lines and a horrendous English dub. I think its finally time to review this anime. Plot: 6/10 Twelve years before the start of the series the NineTails attacked Konohagakure destroying much of the village and taking many lives. The leader of the village the Fourth Hokage sacrificed his life to seal the NineTails into a newborn Naruto Uzumaki. Thank you google very cool. This is where most of the plot of Naruto comes from it sets everything in motion for our good hearted protagonist Naruto. Whilst throughout the series training with his rivals Sasuke and Sakura. Taking place in the Hidden Leaf Village Konohagakure this setting is perfect for the ninja aesthetic that this anime make. In my opinion I believe the plot is fitting for the show and a ninja shounen anime pretty decent. Animation/Quality:7/10 October 3 2002. That is the date of when the first Naruto episode premiered on Japanese television. The English version of the series was released in North America by Viz Media and began airing on September 10 2005 on Cartoon Networks Toonami programming block in the United States. A year and a day later Fullmetal Alchemist would air anyway back to the point. For the most part the animation is good. Animated by Pierrot everyones designs are established early on and they stay fluent throughout the entire anime. We always get some funny frames sometimes tho... Fight Scenes:7/10 Yes the ninjas fight each other. Again the animation for these fights is very fluent. They are good. I also think I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they had a small team animating Naruto. On Numerous occasions they had several people working on the fight scenes for a majority of the Final Sasuke and Naruto Fight https://www..com/watch?v=pb6C9D05AM they only had Norio Matsumoto https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1634547/ animating it. Norio was the key animator in The Rock Lee vs Gaara Fight https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0898200/?ref=nmflmganm25 The Sasuke vs Orochimaru Fight https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0886620/?ref=nmflmganm25 and The Final Naruto and Sasuke fight.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1302485/?ref=nmflmganm25. Norio has made quite a marvelous feat with all of these fights. Now to give attention to the elephant in the room The Naruto vs Neji Fight.https://www..com/watch?v=QPmUzRYgf1k. Not only was this fight very boring but it dragged on for a total of 34 minutes. I think the main problem of this fight was explaining a backstory in the middle of it. They explained Nejis familys backstory in the middle of the fight. Not only that but Neji bringing up destiny almost every 5 seconds gets quite repetitive. I think that might of been the only fight scene that was genuinely boring. My favorite fight scene has to be Sasuke vs Orochimaru. Its a great short fight with nice animation also Sasuke breaths fire and its awesome. Sound/Music:5/10 The Naruto soundtrack is pretty fine on its own. The most prominent instruments in the ost electric guitars Shamisen traditional Japanese guitar Shakuhachi traditional Japanese bamboo flute violins drums and a male chorus for shouty Japanese bits. Chartacters: 4/10 The Naruto characters that Masashi KIshimoto introduced throughout the story were decent in my opinion. I will go through a list of all of the main ones: Naruto: Very annoying while being a alright character he annoys me to no end. He does some pretty cool stuff throughout the anime as well. Having the nine tails fox Naruto also does some pretty cool stuff from his shadow clone cobos to his Rasengan. His design is iconic as its always been. Sasuke: The other half to Naruto while being a cool edgy rival. Sasuke can do some pretty cool stuff from his Sharingang to his Chidori. Sasuke as well as being iconic is not as popular as Naruto in most cases. Sakura: People only like her because shes a girl. Kakashi: He reads porn in public. and that concludes all the characters. All in all I only enjoyed Sasuke Kakashi and Shikamaru as characters. They were all alright. Conclusion As I stated before Naruto is very controversial. I genuinely enjoyed this anime the show after The Final Fight may be filler but if you are starting anime I cant recommend this anime anymore. The Shounen genre has a vast amount of anime Naruto is one of the better ones believe me.
