I see people tagging this webtoon with a Strong Female Lead tag...I dont see how shes a strong female lead if anything shes the complete opposite of that. Her plans are dumb and she has no real agency. She doesnt want to get married to a jerk her father picked for her so she goes to sleep with some random dude in town with the intention of getting pregnant. How exactly does that make her a strong character? Shes just using her body to temporarily avoid her fate. Its not a permanent solution. Pregnancy is only 9 months she could easily be sold into slavery or something like that during or after that period of time and its basically what happens. Not to mention its pretty hard to get pregnant ok? Like what is this plan how do you know youll get pregnant 100 after just one night? What would have happened if she didnt the first time would she have gone out again in a couple weeks or months to try again? But anyway because of plot she magically does get pregnant. Even worse she doesnt even come up with some better more permanent plan during the time shes pregnant I hate it when female characters in fiction do such stupid crap like randomly sleeping with men to get out of something like arranged marriage because that makes them completely lose their dignity and selfrespect in my eyes. Like you couldnt have figured out some other plan for your own bad situation besides sleeping around? Thats still basically relying on a man to bail you out in the end. Not to mention in the real world theres also STDs and other stuff you need to worry about. I feel like this kind of contrived trope in fiction is getting out of hand because it doesnt portray females in a good light and its toxic for this sort of idea to be applied in real life. Honestly youre just confirming to other males out there that you have zero shame and are willing to do anything for the right price. This is far worse than those forcedmarriageturnsintolove webtoons of which there are tons out there. I hope that this sort of onenightstandstotemporarilyescapefromreality story doesnt take hold in mainstream media for the sake of girls everywhere. Furthermore once she sleeps with a random guy and after giving birth to the child her wretched father makes her marry some other dude. But this time she agrees to it. Why? Why is it ok for you to marry the second guy but not the first one huh? And dont tell me thats because the first guy she was supposed to marry is a pervert because the second guy is supposedly a murderer her father said so himself. Unless in this world murderers are better than perverts. I dont know anymore. Her child is supposed to be three years old but honestly he seems to be 57 years old. He talks far too eloquently for a 3 year old so Im not buying that crap either. The female lead even tells her kid who her father is immediately after meeting him again and actually thinks a 3 year old kid can keep a secret. Please. Author needs to work on believability but then again that was tossed out the window with the sleepingaroundtogetpregnant plot in the first chapter. And I thought the child was a girl but nope apparently hes a boy. Alright then. Im not saying boys shouldnt have long hair but he totally looks like a girl. I sure do hope that oddly particular aspect of his character is actually supposed to be important later on because otherwise I dont see why he couldnt have been drawn with shorter hair or been born as a girl instead. The art is alright but honestly Im so mad about everything else I cant enjoy the only somewhat redeeming part of this webtoon. The male lead is pretty averagely drawn and obviously the female lead had more effort put into her design since it shows.
