Let me preface this by saying I gave this a 1/10 the lowest in my rating scale. Hence this would be a very subjective review and some minor spoilers ahead. My first thoughts about this manga is that this is your typical edgy manga not that I think it makes it inherently bad. I just acknowledge the fact that some works are written with a different audience in mind. Wolf Guy opens up with the story of Akira Inugami taking on a bunch of thugs just by himself and coming out unscathed establishing to the readers that the fact that our main character is an invincible beast. On the process Akira saves a very beautiful lady in the verge of getting raped who turns out to be his new homeroom teacher. I can see the way they appeal to a certain audience as it has enough nudity violence and mature setting for a young mind to think that its pretty good. But if you take a long good look at it the plot is actually very straightforward and nothing that has not already been told countless times across all mediums. We also have the main character a strong lonesome wolf who does not like fights but never backs down from them anyway. He does not care about anyone but secretly he longs for companionship. Pretty familiar? Yes because it is. The art style suits the dark theme of the story but sometimes the panels look confusing because of the dark screentones. Also the characters are not drawn consistently and one can notice differences in physical features every new volume. My main gripe with Wolf Guy is that as a woman reading this manga I cant help but recoil by the way the author writes this story. I lost count on how many the times the main heroine almost got raped because apparently her body is too lusty that it sucks men in. We also have the other main woman in the story the classmate Konuma who is essentially the class bitch and whose main goal in the mangas 12 volumes is to fuck the main character. Because yeah of course. When the purpose of the two main women in the story is to get fucked and raped it is pretty obvious that the author only writes women as sex objects in the story and not as the characters that they are. I will also comment on the fact that the main heroines boobs are growing bigger each volume that passes until it reaches the point where I call it hentai boobs: meaning the boobs is now thrice the body size. At this point in time I know now not to take this seriously. Lets now talk about the elephant in the room: the brutal explicit gang rape that lasted more than 10 chapters. I am pretty sure the point can be made across in two chapters but no of course it has to span an entire arc to see the woman get humiliated. Overall this manga just leaves a bad taste like no other. I dont see how people can like this except if they were probably a 13 year old kid physically or mentally. And even then I think that they can do so much better than reading this one.
