First I actually like the pacing of the story. I love how it started and the ending was not really what I expected but it was still a satisfying end. Also it has a good art and I am a bit picky when it comes to manhwas art. For those reader who enjoy family stories I bet you will also enjoy this. Even though she was mistreated and abused by her bloodrelated family she was wellloved by her adopted family. She has a strong but gentle mother and overprotective father and brothers. It is a good thing that the main character stood up for herself and took a step on how to save her life. This story has some scenes where you felt frustrated and there are some funny scenes to balance it all out. I mainly enjoy the wholesome scenes where they show their love and affection to the main character a scene where it never happened when she was with her family. She was neglected by his father and even their servants looked down on her. All I can say about her family is that they are so pathetic and dumb idk anymore. I cant fathom how the Sperado family blindly follow their tradition of killing their children so that the rightful owner of the power will have all the abilities for themselves. It just shows how greed makes a person blind. As the story went deeper it unravelled diferrent secrets that has been hidden for many years. I definitely felt sorry for all the kids that has been sacrificed in order to maintain the moght of the Sperado family. On the other hand the dukes family is very likeable. They may look like an overpowered family from the standard of this storys world but they do not simply abuse their power for no agreeble reasons. I can say that they earned the position hey have. Though romance is not the main point of the story I still enjoy some subtle moments of the main character and her brothers friend. Conrad. It was a fitting scene for their age just wholesomeness and cuteness. Also Conrad is a likeable character for he do not tolerate injustice and such. He even sacrificed and set aside his own feelings and sufferings for him to fight what he think is right and just. The main character is not weak eeven though she was just a little child. She was smart for her age and knows how to use her qualities and skills to win the favor of the duke. But of course a child is a child and I really enjoy it when she acted like one. Especially the time when she cried when the cookie did not fload in the chocolate drink up to her proud moments of accompishing it. To sum it all up it was an enjoyable ride. I was actually looking for a good manhwa to read when I was taking a break from the fantasy/action/romance centered story.
