Cosmo familia is a work like few others that manages to bring the easiness and warmth of slice of life shows into the fast and thrilling scenes of the action genre together to create a great mahou shoujo manga. The story is very simple: theres a girl called Alice her mother is gone and the fluffy things called cosmofs are on a rampage since then. She made a promise tp protect her home house and city from the cosmofs until her mother comes back. While cosmofs dont attack people directly they do destroy a lot of things that end up causing accidents Alice has to constantly repair things and it doesnt seem to ever come to an end until she meets the group Nix Force. Nix Force wants to eradicate the cosmofs in order to save humanity and they want Alices help to do so but Alice holds onto her promise which also includes to protect the cosmofs as good as she can she does kill cosmofs who are a danger for humans but doesnt go out of her way to kill innocent cosmofs and refuses to join Nix force. A chase begins and she is led by a cosmof who looked a young version of her mother to a well that sends her 20 years back in time. From that point on she meets her mother and tries to find out why Laika dissappeared so suddenly which kicks off the start of a comfortable thrilling and emotionally packed story full of hearthwarming but also heartbreaking moments. Alice has to protect her mother and herself from Nix Force while trying to bring light ot the mistery that are the cosmofs in a cute but also serious tale of the hate a child can get because of the sins of her parents. The vilification of her adorable mother by the Nix Force are at the start only defied by Alices trust and Laikas own silliness throughout the chapters but how true it is cant be said right from the start. Now to what I call comfy action: this manga is very cute at the same time as its serious which means that even when the scene is rather dark and worrying you still get a certain feeling of dont worry things will get better for sure and vice versa even when its cute you always have certain undertone of sadness or bitterness let it be covered by the artsyle as much as it is. Thats partly because Alice is adorable but the manga is by no means a slice of life even if my wording might have made it seem that way the story moves constantly and one character after the other finds its place in this short but entertaining work by the author of Madoka Magica. At the end all pieces are combined and we get to witness beautifully drawn panels of sheer warmth and utter happiness to finish this exciting manga that I recommend every magical girl fan let it be the those who prefer the happy ones or the dark mahou shoujo enjoyers. Thanks for reading and I hope youll consider reading this work and enjoy it as much as I did.
