Difficulty: There is no Difficulty Just enjoy yourself and be Happy Lucky Dochy Higurashi Kira is one of the best OVA series one could have wished for regarding Higurashi because the characters deserve to just have fun for once after all that they went through and its also in the spirit of the VN but seeing as how the mean score for this OVA is quite low I assume some people just cant enjoy fun which is a shame. Each episode of this OVA series is its own thing and they are all quite fun and the variety of content makes sure it never gets boring In one episode we have a full on fanservice parade of all the girls in the show and in another one we have a Mahou Shoujo Parody and then theres also the Harem episode which is really funny but one of the most outstanding episodes from this short OVA series has to be the one with Baby Rika meeting Hanyuu and her other friends from the future which is just too cute and definitely quite heartfelt Honestly makes me tear up every time I watch it. Another fun part is also when the series parodies some of the more serious scenes from the main arcs and its just a treat for fans. Art and Animation wise its one of the best looking Higurashi entries and while Higurashi was never known to look the best I always liked the charm the art in it has and especially this OVA looks really polished and colorful with a lot of fun expressions on the characters and I also want to give a shoutout to the screen transitions between certain scenes au au. Also the Opening and Ending Song are so cute and its quite easy to get addicted listening to them plus the ending being sung by a different seiyuu every episode is a nice detail and it really shows the effort the put into creating the show. One can tell the staff had fun working at this episodes and truly love Higurashi Overall I can recommend this OVA series to anyone who enjoys Higurashi for more than just the horror/mystery aspects because this is also what Higurashi is and always will be a work with a lot of silly slice of life stuff between all the grueling despair we face in the main series and it just makes for a good time even if its unfortunately just 4 episodes but hey at least each episode is 30 minutes long. Its hard to rate it but I think a 9/10 is fair and its one of my personal favorite Higurashi anime series when I just want to relax and have a fun time.
