Blood Lad follows Staz a vampire that is obsessed with the human world and Fuyumi a human girl that was killed and turned into a ghost after wandering into the demon world. Staz promises to help Fuyumi regain her humanity by bringing her back to life as it means that he would be able to visit the human world So youve got Staz one of the toughest vampires in the demon world. He rules over a large territory and beats up challengers easily. But his real passion is anime manga and Japanese video games. If he had it his way hes spend all day inside with em. So when a Japanese teen named Fuyumi accidentally wanders into the demon world hes totally psyched And thenshe gets eaten by a monster and turns into a ghost. So he promises to bring her back to life and they head off to figure out how. This sounds like a solid base right? Its the perfect setup for adventure getting to explore the wider demon world and its inhabitants etc. They even get entangled with another person Bell whose magic allows her to travel between any quadrilateralwindows doors tiles frames etc. Turns out thats how Fuyumi wandered in in the first place: Bells magic is wonky and she cant close that particular portal between the human and demon worlds. Also please note I would love to have this ability. So cool. And useful. Goodbye having to deal with traffic jams. The problem with the series is that first of all the female characters are quite buxom and have bouncing boobs all over the place. Theythey dont work like that. Please stop. Second this 10episode series isjust ten episodes. Its only the first arc of the larger story but no more seasons were ever produced so youre not getting a full thing. Youre getting a good bit of action and character revelation not the full story it set out to tell. And its unfortunately obvious. Third Fuyumithenowghost needs vampire blood to keep her from fading away completely. So Staz cuts his thumb so she can drink it and this uncomfortable sex face is how that goes. Luckily it only happens a few times in the series but still: ew. Verdict English dub? Yes Visuals: Designwise fine. Bright colors fine designs. I am suspicious of any show where boobs are big and bounce at the slightest provocation and this one had entirely too much of that. Worth watching? Eh. Its OK for having on in the background. Besides the boobs and weird sexfacethumbsucking this 2013 anime didnt get another season so the story is incomplete.
