Tae Morikawa is the new caretaker of the boarding house "Kirinkan" after the death of her great-grandmother, the previous caretaker. On her way home in the middle of the night, she rescues a woman who is huddled in the middle of the road with a fever.
The next morning, the woman turns out to be Kikuko, the wife of Usami Shuji, a senior colleague whom Tae had a crush on until three years ago.
