Jounosuke Ryuuguu

A detective from the 1st division of the JDC. An eccentric man who dresses in black at all times. He has been friends with the Tsukumo siblings since childhood. A socalled wordician he has travelled around the world and knows the basics of over 50 languages. He seems to have no interest in romantic relationships and his biggest passion is solving mysteries. He is terrible with machines of any kind and will break them instantly upon touching them. His reasoning method is Kabuki Deduction in which he finds patterns and hidden meanings in language.
