Wao is one of the most popular boys in school. He is beloved by all boasting a kind disposition and princely aura. While he seems like an open book Wao is rather elusive and private. His only real friend at school was Gen before Shima transferred. He lives alone with his mother who must work night shifts to support them both. Wao is touchy about his familys lack of wealth and he can become prideful and standoffish when offered help.
